The dreamy ballroom expert, Derek Hough, has danced his way into our hearts! He has the classical background to truly supplement the styles of J-Lo and Ne-Yo. Aside from being essential to World of Dance, Derek Hough has had a career jam-packed with achievements. Here are just a few!

Footloose at London’s West End

Derek Hough landed the lead role, Ren, in a London’s West End production of Footloose. He had a yearlong run in this production which was the first lead role of his career! He has said that the role was fitting because he also grew up in a repressive community like Ren.

Dancing With The Stars

Derek Hough joined Dancing With The Stars in 2007 and from that time to when he left in 2016, he won the show a record six times! He won with partners Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley, and Bindi Irwin. He also won two Emmys for his work on Dancing with the Stars.

Hairspray Live!

In the 2016 production of Hairspray Live! Derek Hough played the host of The Corny Collins Show, Corny Collins himself! The show was an energetic and well-timed addition to the several musicals that have been made into live TV specials.

Derek Hough Live! The Tour

On top of being a judge for World of Dance, Derek Hough has been busy planning his first ever solo tour. This tour starts in April and is sure to be a grand show full of different styles of dance! Helping Derek with this tour is  Creative team and two-time EMMY® winners, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, also known as NappyTabs.

Whether he’s on stage or on television, Derek Hough always delivers a dynamic performance. Even as a judge he is exciting to watch as his critiques are coming from a long history of dancing and choreographing.
