This Canadian dance team is here to make their country proud. Check out their exclusive Q&A with WOD Magazine to see what makes Movement Society so special.

WOD: How did it feel when you found out you’d be on Season 3?

MS: WE FREAKED OUT! We felt proud, a little scared, excited, nervous, uncertain – but most of all SO PUMPED!! There also might have been some crying involved.

WOD: Where do you draw inspiration from? Who/what inspires you?

MS: We draw inspiration from watching dancers that allow you to feel something you didn’t think possible and seeing a story unfold through movement. We love and are inspired by adding unexpected elements to dance and by incredible movement – no matter what style.

WOD: Why do you think dance is important to the world?

MS: It is super exciting to see that dance is taking off due to a show like World of Dance. We LOVE
that people are seeing a how it can have an impact on anyone. Dance is exciting to watch and can pull in even someone who does not typically enjoy the “arts” and how DIFFICULT it is! There is so much training involved and it shows how athletic these dancers are. Dance is universal and no matter your background, it can unite people from different places.

WOD: What are you most excited/nervous about being on the show?

MS: We really want to make Canada proud and show that there is great training here. We are nervous being on such a huge stage in front of those amazing judges!

WOD: What cause or organization do you care about and would like World of
Dance to promote?

MS: One of our dancers has a sister and brother who both have Cystic Fibrosis. Because we love her, we would love to promote CF awareness!
