Sean’s Dance Factory qualified for the 2018 World of Dance Championship Week with a showstopping Michael Jackson tribute. The 1st place Team Division winners from WOD New York 2017 plan to conquer the competition by following their motto, “together we achieve more”.

World of Dance asks Unified Movement About Their Journey to Championship Week

WOD: Can you give us a little background about the crew? How long have you been together and how did you meet?

Sean’s Dance Factory: Sean’s Dance Factory was founded in 2003 and many of our dancers have been with us as long as 10 years to as little as 1-2 years.  Our dancers have come from as far as St Lucie County and as far as Broward County to share passion for dance and build strong friendships outside of the studio because of this common ground!

WOD: What are you feeling going the Championships?

Sean’s Dance Factory: As we go forth to the WOD Finals we are overwhelmed with feelings of joy, and gratitude! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to share our gifts with all of you.

WOD: What is your favorite part of competing in World of Dance?

 Sean’s Dance Factory: The best part about competing in the World of Dance Finals would be showing others that with faith, hard work, and dedication to your craft you can achieve anything!

WOD: What part of your dance, choreography, or performance are you most proud of?

 Sean’s Dance Factory: I am most proud of my dancers for putting it all on the floor each and every time. Each one has a different vibe and they all feed off of each other’s success and encouragement that contributes to the heart of the performance.

WOD: What exciting things will you be doing/focusing on in the next year?

Sean’s Dance Factory: In the coming year we will be focusing on bringing in a variety of dance genres to help expand our skills as dancers and individuals.

WOD: Why do you think dance is important to the world?

 Sean’s Dance Factory: Dance is such a powerful expression of ones feelings as well as an escape from lives inevitable stressful situations.

WOD: What’s your favorite part about being a crew?

Sean’s Dance Factory: The best part of being in a crew is the love and community!  No matter where you come from you are accepted and supported to be your best self.

WOD: Anything else you’d like to add?

 Sean’s Dance Factory:At Sean’s Dance Factory we not only teach our kids the meaning of TEAM (Together We Achieve More) but we do our best to model that behavior.
