NBC’s World of Dance is the world’s most competitive dance competition, where celebrity judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Derek Hough, and host/mentor Jenna Dewan Tatum watch incredible dancers compete for a whopping $1 million prize. From hip hop to tap, break dancing to ballroom, it’s a celebration of all things dance, and we’re pumped to give you a look at each and every amazing dancer, duo, and crew. Let’s meet the Jabbawockeez.

From: Sacramento, Calif.
Who they are: Jabbawockeez first came to prominence when they won the first season of America’s Best Dance Crew. Since then, the internationally known dance team who has amassed large success with its Las Vegas resident shows, as well as appearances on Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, Step Up 2 The Streets, and America’s Next Top Model. They have also toured with New Kids on the Block and Jesse McCartney.
In 2012, the group was honored for its contribution to the dance community with Hip Hop International’s Living Legend of Hip Hop Award, which made them the first dance crew to ever receive the esteemed award. In 2016, Jabbawockeez danced alongside Bruno Mars during The American Music Awards. They are known for their signature look, wearing white masks and gloves (a tribute to 1970s San Francisco strutting crew Medea Sirkas).
Fun fact: Their name is a nod to the Lewis Carroll nonsense poem Jabberwocky.
