Members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater have taken to the streets! Or at least they’ve done so in Paris in the Rue Montorgueil. Choreographed by French artist Redha Medjellekh, the short film is only the beginning for the French artist, who plans to make a series featuring these dancers with the goal of broadening dance’s appeal.

He expanded upon the idea in a press release, saying:

“I wanted to illustrate that no matter your gender, nationality or age, we can communicate and share a common thread through dance.”
